We are so excited about our new partnership with College Mentors for Kids! The program will connect Bridgeport students to college mentors through weekly activities on Miami's campus that inspire growth, confidence and bright futures. This has been a huge success at Fairwood, Highland and Ridgeway and we can't wait for our families to get the opportunity to join!

Tyler was out at Bridgeport two weeks ago to celebrate the end of the school year. He was able to celebrate with principal Stephanie Oakes their Crystal Apple winner. Congratulations to Rhonda Emmerling on her great work this year. She does double duty. Not only is she a great sixth grade teacher, but she is also a union representative. She works very hard for both students and teachers at Bridgeport. Congratulations to Rhonda!

Bridgeport Families,
Child Care Transportation Request Forms must be filled out every year if your student will be using a bus stop at a babysitter's house or daycare (even if it is the same as last year). Please don't forget to fill out the form on the transportation website by July 15, 2026 to ensure your student has transportation on the 1st day of school. Thank you!

After an incredible 32-year career dedicated entirely to Hamilton City Schools, the wonderful Mrs. Melinda Gross is officially retiring! Over more than three decades, Melinda has touched countless lives while teaching at Jefferson, Lincoln, and Bridgeport Elementary schools.

Most recently serving as a Title I reading intervention teacher, Melinda has a rare talent for unlocking the potential in every reader. But as everyone at Bridgeport knows, her impact goes far beyond academics—with her signature positive attitude, beautiful smile, and calming presence, she has truly been the heart of our halls.

Whether she was jumping in to help anyone at a moment's notice, making everyone feel seen and cared for, or consistently winning "best dressed" at the end of the year, Melinda made our school a brighter place.

Bridgeport will miss you dearly, but we wish you nothing but the absolute best in your well-deserved retirement!
