In a quiet, cozy corner of Whitney Center, residents come together to weave creativity, connection, and skill into every thread. 🪡

About two years ago, resident Lucienne Coifman turned her passion for weaving into something greater and began our weaving class. Now, it has become a well-loved creative outlet where residents regularly gather to learn, share skills, and create beautiful pieces including scarves, towels, table runners, rugs, and much more.

Lucienne herself has extraordinary experience, weaving for about 42 years and teaching for nearly 36. She is also the author of "Rep, Rips, Reps", a book that expands beyond traditional weaving patterns and includes instructions for more than 20 original projects such as rugs, placemats, runners, wall hangings, and samplers.
