Spring has sprung and Summer is on its way! The recent storms managed to water our garden without doing any damage. Many thanks to Joyce Estfeld for planting her most beautiful plants! She really does have a green thumb. And to Ruby Buller for keeping one step ahead of the weeds! Thank you ladies!

We hope everyone had a meaningful Memorial Day! Our very own Joleen Ross shined as the speaker at our local Memorial service at the Halstead Cemetery, delivering speech that was truly heartfelt! She shared a powerful poem titled “Freedom Is Not Free” and the beautiful prayer by Pastor Edward Blanchette, Jr., from the Halstead Baptist Church was very uplifting. Larry Denno represented the American Legion as the Head speaker, inspiring all in attendance. Member Joe Trego proudly stood as part of the Color Guard, looking distinguished in his uniform.
