Throw back Tuesday was able to get the first part of the first round of my fight with God bless brother stoked seeing you doing big things was an honor to share the octagon with you.
Join me for an in-depth look at our no-gi class at , where we're exploring the octopus guard. We'll challenge the fundamentals learned on day one and focus on creating scrambles by going belly down and exposing our backs. The key to winning these scrambles lies in positioning our hips behind our opponents. Hopefully, this detailed breakdown will help you navigate bottom-side positions and unleash your jiu-jitsu creativity.
Octopus concepts….. rethinking side control's value here. Top half's pinning power > side control due to lack of leg control. I invite the pass, avoid the crossface, and set myself up for a scramble. Conventional jiu jitsu wisdom goes out the window with octopus concepts - we let them pass, we go belly down and give up@our back, and in return we leverage our position for the win. Hips behind, our opponents hips leverage in check we win the scramble.
