I’ve never done an 8 hour inshore trip before, but these guys wanted to, so I accepted the challenge! It ended up being an awesome trip and I really enjoyed it because it gave me plenty of time to do what I need to do without being rushed! Had a catch and release trip today, and although it was too rough for plan A, plan B ended up working out! And while on the way to plan B, we came across a floating log that was absolutely LOADED with triple tail. Such a cool fish, and my favorite to sight fish. He said he was almost 50 years old and had never caught a redfish. His goal was to catch his first one day. Not only did we make that happen, we also put him on the best speckled trout bite he’d ever seen! It was a little rough and rainy, but we didn’t let that slow us down.
