It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Past District Governor, Roger McCabe. A gathering of Roger’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with his Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2715 Calder Avenue, Beaumont.

Rotarians Provide Raised Garden Beds for Seniors to Play in the Dirt

Rotary Club of Center wanted to focus this year's District Grant funds on Senior Citizens in our community and help improve their quality of life. The club chose to build and install wheelchair accessible raised garden beds for area nursing homes because studies show that nature and digging in the soil or just being around flowers and plants can improve ones mental health. Also, to reach seniors in the community not in nursing homes, the club chose to purchase and donate household and personal care items to the local senior nutrition site for bingo prizes.
