🐔 Did you know? Dust baths are one of the most important natural behaviors chickens have!
While it might look like they’re just making a mess, stretching or even fighting 😂 they’re actually working hard to stay healthy.
Dust bathing helps:
✨ Control mites and other parasites
✨ Absorb excess oil from their feathers
✨ Reduce stress and encourage natural behaviors
We also allow our chickens to free range. This allows them to scratch, dust bathe, and chase the bugs. Living the way a chicken should!!

Rainy Fridays are a little more fun when you’re a pig! 🌧️🐷
While our pigs are enjoying the rain, now’s the perfect time to plan ahead. We still have a limited selection of our pork available on the website, including:
🌭 Classic Garlic Bratwurst
🌶️ Hot Italian Bratwurst
🐽 Breakfast Sausage
And if you’ve been thinking about filling your freezer with locally raised pork, there may still be ONE reservation available for a half or whole hog. Our next processing date is scheduled for December, giving you the opportunity to customize your cuts and have your freezer stocked with meat to kick off the new year!

Happy Fourth of July from our family at Duck Butter Farm! 🇺🇸❤️
Summer on the farm is in full swing… calving season is keeping us busy, piglets are growing for future harvest, and every day is spent making sure all of our animals stay cool, comfortable, and well cared for through the summer heat… we don’t even want to mention the drought 🥵
We’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to raise food for our community. While we always appreciate those who support local farmers, today we’re especially thankful for the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country, protecting the freedoms that allow families like ours to do what we love every single day!
