Chicken and rice, oh so nice! chicken legs nestled into Cahokia rice from with ranch seasoning from Mixed into the homemade chicken chicken stock. Came home to this delectable meal.

What a week! Fire on Saturday to clear out some pasture, garden work until Wednesday, PLANTED garlic and shallots that were sprouting in 70° weather, munched said bed and topped off the the other garlic bed. Put up wind breaks around beds with straw bales. RAIN, ICE AND SNOW last night and now the barn doors were frozen shut. Saved by the sawmill, BFH, ykiyk and some select farmer's language. BUT, all animals are fine, fed and watered and I'm ready for one of Lisle's fantastic suppers. The life of an Iowa Farmers.
