MHCC Geography

The first day of class is under way! However, there is still time to sign up for classes until the end of next week. I hope you'll join us!

So what is Physical Geography? This is covered in GEOG 105 and it is all about the natural world. We learn about weather and climate, including Climate Change; geology, including earthquakes and volcanoes; biology related to both plants and animals; and special areas of our world like oceans, deserts and the remaining ice covered areas on our planet. I hope that you'll consider joining us this fall!

Greetings! New classes begin at MHCC on Monday September 26, 2022. In the Geography Department we are offering four courses: 1) GEOG 105 - Intro to Physical Geography Face to Face class MWF 10 to 10:50 am; 2) GEOG 206 - The Geography of Oregon fully online; 3) GEOG 290 - Environmental Problems and Restoration Face to Face class MW 12:49 to 2 pm and 4) GEOG 298 Reading and Conference self paced course. Spring Term 2022 will begin on Monday March 28, 2022. All of our Geography classes will be online. The list of classes for spring are as follows: GEOG 107 - Intro to Human Geography; GEOG 205 - Geography of the Pacific Rim; GEOG 270 - Criminology and the Geography of Crime. We hope you will join us this spring!

Greetings! We will be offering several classes in Geography this coming Winter Term. They are as follows: GEOG 106 - Introduction to World geography, GEOG 209 - Geography of the Middle East and North Africa and GEOG 265 - Introduction to Geographic Information Systems.
