When your veterinary visit starts with a handshake instead of a struggle... you know you're in the right place. 🐾
Some pets are nervous in the car.
Some families have busy schedules.
And some senior pets simply deserve the comfort of staying close to home.
That's why we love bringing veterinary care directly to you.
Dr. Tyler recently shared this after one of our mobile visits:
"This sweet pup was so much more relaxed in the familiar environment of our mobile clinic. When pets are comfortable, it allows us to perform a more thorough exam while creating a much less stressful experience for everyone involved."
Our mobile unit isn't just convenient, it's a fully equipped veterinary clinic on wheels, providing the same compassionate care you expect from FurWell.
🐶 Benefits of Mobile Veterinary Care:

✔️ No waiting rooms or crowded lobbies
✔️ Ideal for senior pets or those with mobility challenges

☀️🐾Heat Advisory for Pet Parents🐾☀️
Today's temperatures are not just uncomfortable, they can be dangerous.
As we write this, our team is actively treating a dog suffering from heat exhaustion. Thankfully, this pet was brought in quickly, but situations like this can become life-threatening in a matter of minutes.
Unlike people, dogs and cats cannot cool themselves efficiently. Even a short walk, backyard play session, or time spent outdoors can lead to overheating during extreme heat.
🚨 **Signs of Heat Exhaustion & Heat Stroke**
• Excessive panting or difficulty breathing
• Heavy drooling
• Bright red, pale, or purple gums
• Weakness or lethargy
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Stumbling or collapse
• Disorientation
• Seizures
• Loss of consciousness
If you notice any of these signs, move your pet to a cool area immediately and seek veterinary care right away. Heat stroke is a medical emergency.
🌡️ **How to Keep Your Pet Safe**
✅ Limit outdoor activity to early morning or late evening.
✅ Keep walks short and avoid hot pavement. If it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for their paws.
✅ Provide fresh, cool water at all times.
✅ Keep pets indoors in air conditioning whenever possible.
✅ Offer cooling mats, fans, frozen treats, or ice cubes.
✅ Never leave pets in parked vehicles, even for a few minutes.
⚠️ **Be Extra Careful With**
• French Bulldogs, Pugs, Bulldogs, and other flat-faced breeds
• Senior pets
• Overweight pets
• Puppies and kittens
• Pets with heart or respiratory conditions
❤️ A reminder: your dog does not need that midday walk today.
Missing one walk is far safer than risking heat stroke. Consider indoor enrichment instead: training games, puzzle toys, treat hunts, or some extra cuddle time in the AC.
If your pet seems "off" after being outside, don't wait. Call your veterinarian immediately. When it comes to heat-related illness, early intervention can save lives.
Stay safe, stay cool, and give your pets an extra hug from all of us today. 🐾
