A Heartfelt Thanks to Our Guests.

For over two decades it has been our pleasure to serve you.

In good times-- birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and other celebrations.

And in bad times - family memorials and remembrances.

We have been proud to provide excellent cuisine and the finest service.

January 1, 2022 will be the final day of Thomas and Theresa's stewardship of Homestead Inn.

After closing for updating and renovating, Homestead Inn will re-open under the stewardship of the McDevitt Group and will build upon the legacy created by Thomas Henkelmann and Theresa Carroll.

We want to thank the community, our guests and of course our wonderful staff for their support over the years.

All The Best for a Happy and Healthy New Year

Big News from Homestead Inn - Restaurant Thomas Henkelmann

After over two decades of serving our loyal guests at Homestead Inn and Restaurant Thomas Henkelmann, we have decided to sell our cherished property to a partnership between The McDevitt Company, a respected property development and brokerage firm and The Glazer Family office (founders of Graybarns).

We are excited to pass our unique restaurant and inn, which date back to 1799, to the new partnership, and we believe that they will take the properties to even new heights.

The McDevitt/Glazer partnership is excited to have the opportunity to update and further beautify this very special property. The new owner's plans include converting all guest rooms to suites and a significant refresh of the common areas, restaurant and grounds.

Thomas and his team will continue to operate the restaurant and inn through New Year's Day 2022. If you have reservations between now and then, our team will be here to serve you as always before.

The property will be closed for renovations after January 1, 2022, so we will no longer take reservations and deposits after that date. While we will no longer issue new gift certificates, we will honor outstanding gift certificates which are presented through January 1st. Should you have made a deposit for an event that is scheduled after January 1st, we will reach out to you shortly to arrange a refund and assist you in making alternate plans.

On behalf of our entire team, we want to thank all of our guests for your loyal support over the past years and we extend the new owners our best wishes for their successful continuation and enhancement of the special Homestead Inn legacy.

And course if you have any questions or concerns please do reach out to us.

Dear Friends of Homestead Inn — Thomas Henkelmann,

We wish you all wellness and robust health in these trying times.
Thomas and I with the sage advice and continued support of our partners represented by Tim Yates and John Murphy are grappling with the impact this pandemic is having on our business, loyal co-workers, industry partners and our community at large.
We closed Sunday morning for our scheduled annual vacation with the expectation of reopening the hotel and restaurant on April 3rd for Dinner. That possibility no longer exists as things stand now. We will be posting updates as circumstances change.
The entire world is sitting at the same table and faced with the same emotional, financial and health fears. Our collective response to this crisis must be measured and resolute. Our world has faced devastating plagues over many millennia. We are fortunate to have advanced science and treatments that may ameliorate suffering and potentially allow many people to endure.
We will continue to reach out and trust that as this virus fades, we will have all done a deep dive into what and who really matters in our lives.
Be safe, be smart, be safe, be considerate and communicate.

Thomas, Theresa, Tim and John
