Hope Rises International

Alhassan noticed it slowly — numbness in his hands, weakness in his legs. Over time, walking became difficult. He needed a walking stick just to get around. In his remote corner of Ghana, he had no idea he had leprosy, or that treatment was within reach.

Then Pastor Jacob found him. Trained to recognize the signs, he encouraged Alhassan to seek care and kept returning through every discouraged moment — listening, encouraging, walking alongside him.

With medication, consistent care, and a pastor who never gave up, Alhassan's strength returned. Today he walks on his own — restored physically and emotionally, and no longer facing it alone. 🙏

Today is International Nurses Day — and our hearts are with the nurses at our Christian partner hospitals around the world.

They show up every day in places where resources are scarce and the need is great. They change wound dressings, educate families, and bring calm and compassion to people who are scared and suffering.

We are grateful for every one of them. 🙏
