Lining Computer Service and Repair
Today on the workbench: a Casio Privia digital piano with a stubborn key that kept sticking. After taking the piano apart, I found that the key had become disconnected from the weighted action underneath, causing it to stay raised instead of returning normally.
A little patience, some careful disassembly, and reconnecting the key to its weight brought the piano back to life. The customer is happy, and another piece of electronics avoided the scrap pile.
I don't do electronic repairs like this every day, but I always enjoy the challenge when they come my way.

A client called me in a panic after accidentally bumping his Dell desktop.
The screen froze. The computer rebooted. Then... nothing but a black screen and a mouse cursor.
No login screen.
No desktop.
No Ctrl+Alt+Delete.
No obvious answers. π¬
After some detective work, I opened the machine, discharged the motherboard, reseated the RAM, and ran diagnostics. To everyone's surprise, the computer sprang back to lifeβand even recovered the Microsoft Word document he had been working on for hours.
Sometimes the fix is expensive.
Sometimes it's replacing hardware.
And sometimes... your computer just needs a little CPR. π
