Know Your House: Situational Awareness Everywhere.

​Whether you are at your place of work, a crowded outdoor venue, or staying in a hotel like I am here, the first thing you should do is look for the exit plan.
​In the law enforcement world, we have a saying: "Know your house." It means more than just knowing your own front door. It means knowing your streets, your community, and every building you enter. For a police officer, knowing the "house" is about getting to a location quickly to help others.
​For you, it’s about safety and survival.
​In an emergency, seconds count. Don't wait for an alarm to go off to figure out where the nearest stairway is.
​Locate the emergency exits as soon as you arrive.
​Identify a secondary route in case the main one is blocked.
​Stay aware of your immediate vicinity at all times.
​Security isn't just a service we provide at Precision A.C.T.S.; it’s a mindset. Make it a habit to "know your house" wherever you happen to be today.
​Stay safe, stay vigilant.
