Traditional or interactive photos... which one are you?

When you book your newborn session, one of the first things I ask is what style you're picturing. Some parents want that classic, timeless portrait: baby sleeping soundly, perfectly posed, the one that goes straight into the frame. Others want the real stuff: the tiny yawns, the little hands wrapped around a finger, the in-between moments of (most likely) pure chaos that happens when nobody's holding still for the camera.

Here's the secret: you don't have to choose. Most of my sessions are a little of both! We start with the classic, posed shots you're dreaming of, then let things unfold naturally from there. Whichever way you lean, my job is the same: capture this tiny, fleeting season before it's gone 🤍

This one's for the seniors... high school seniors that is 😉 I talk a lot about including dogs in your family photos and senior sessions shouldn't be any different! But also, why stop with just your dog?!

Senior photos are about showcasing you in this time of your life before you graduate and have to start adulting in the real world. Include ALL the pets who shape your personality in these photos that will freeze this very special time of your life!

Somewhere between the chaos and the "okay everyone look over here," there's always at least one moment that stops me... A little hand reaching up without thinking about it. A genuine laugh that wasn't planned. A toddler absolutely losing it over a flower and not caring even a little bit that there's a camera nearby.

Those are the ones that make it into frames. Not because they were perfect, but because they were real. And that's what I'm there for ☺️ And it's why I think every family deserves at least one summer on record, exactly as they are right now!
