When Shane first started physical therapy with Katie at our Clarksville clinic in April, he was unable to walk or bear weight following an ankle fracture and surgery. Based on his symptoms, his treatment also focused on Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), which was officially diagnosed just a few weeks ago.

Today was a major milestone as Shane walked into the clinic without an assistive device for the first time! ๐ŸŽ‰

To continue progressing his nerve desensitization therapy, we incorporated a fun painting activity using paintbrushes, cloths, and finger paint on the affected area. His mom, Lee, came with him today, and our PT student, Olivia, joined in the fun! ๐Ÿ–Œ๏ธ๐ŸŽจ

Weโ€™re so proud of the hard work Shane has put into his recovery and the progress he continues to make. We canโ€™t wait to see him reach his next milestone. Keep up the great work, Shane! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’™

FAQ Friday ๐Ÿ‘‡

โ€œDoes Dry Needling hurt?โ€

Most people are surprised to find it doesnโ€™t hurt much. The needles used are very thin, solid, and flexible. You might feel a quick pinch, followed by a brief muscle twitch or a deep ache. Thatโ€™s actually a good sign itโ€™s working.

Dry needling helps:
โœ… Reduce muscle tightness
โœ… Improve mobility
โœ… Decrease pain

Itโ€™s a safe, effective technique used by our trained physical therapists to target the root of your discomfort.

If youโ€™ve been dealing with stubborn muscle pain, this could be a great option for you. Contact us at (615) 863-2760 or request an appointment https://nuvi.me/98q21o!
