Christmas Day!!!

This is Teresa!! Teresa is one of the most resilient ladies I’ve ever met! She came to us after successfully completing a faith based 8-10 month program. I remember when she got here… with minimal belongings, some relationships that needed a little TLC, and a TON of faith in God to rebuild what the locusts had eaten. She’s very meek and doesn’t say a lot, but when she does she’s giving God the glory for the way He has worked in her life. Teresa has been with us for 2 years. In that two years she has had surgeries, scary diagnoses, and lots of doctors appointments. In all that she has been so trusting that she was in the palm of God’s hand. She is a light to many in the Greenbrier community as she works part time at Harp’s grocery store. Did you catch that? Part time. 2 years. Lots of time off for medical issues and still she’s saved enough to buy a very nice vehicle while paying rent to Next Step. We are all beyond proud of you Teresa as you have not only reached this milestone in gaining some independence, but also for celebrating 3 years sober!! God is working in your life!! We see you walking it out with faith, trust, and perseverance and we all look forward to seeing what’s next😉!!!

I am constantly amazed at the people of Next Step!! They literally are starting over in most areas of their lives. But they’re doing it!! The strength and the confidence they’ve gained is such a blessing to those of us who get to be a part of their journey!! God is so, so good!!

Next Step Ministries is a faith based transition home. But it’s so much more than that!!! We are a family and we want you to succeed so we always try to do what we can to help you gain independence!! Most importantly we want you to grow in your relationship with Jesus!! We have a family Bible study and church on site for Sunday morning service!! We have time for devotions or testimonies before the message and after we always have a big meal together!! We have beds for both men and women!! Give us a call, come visit, come to a Sunday morning service!! We’d LOVE to have you!!
