As we celebrate this historic 4th of July, please remember that Colorado is under strict fire restrictions due to the ongoing wildfire risks.

Even with fire bans in place, the holiday weekend always brings a wave of loud noises—from block parties and parades to unauthorized fireworks. These sudden, loud booms can be incredibly stressful and terrifying for the animals in our community.

🚨 Safety Tip: Bring your dogs and cats indoors well before dusk. Set up a comfortable, secure room for them, turn on some soothing background noise like a fan or the TV to drown out the noise, and make sure their ID tags are securely fastened just in case they get spooked.

It’s time to announce our Purrs & Paws Lodge Pet of the Month! 🐾✨

This month, we are highlighting the one and only, Callie Barrett! Callie spent quite a bit of time with us, and by the end of her stay, she had officially won over every single heart in the lodge. ❤️

Our team had the absolute best time getting to know her.
According to Madeline, our boarding attendant, "This sweet girl won everybody's hearts with her goofy runs and constant back and forth jumping in her kennel! She was lovely to play with, and I think we can all say that we love her and we'll miss her!"

Charlie, another one of our boarding attendants, agreed, noting, "I voted for Callie because she was such a sweet girl! I felt like we really got the time to bond with her and form a connection. She was always so playful and she gave the best hugs! That's probably what I loved the most—she's so cuddly!"

Callie, we miss your energy and your amazing hugs around here! Thank you for being such an incredible guest and showing us all what it means to be a "good girl."

Tomorrow is the final day to pick up any anti-anxiety medications you’ve ordered for the upcoming holiday.
We will be open our regular Friday hours, 8:00 am – 9:00 pm, so you have plenty of time to stop by and get those prescriptions before we close for the 4th of July on Saturday.
