Good mernin and happy Monday to my precious weather nuggets, and other biologicals. 😎🌦️

If Sunday was the atmosphere taking a deep breath, Monday is the atmosphere cracking its knuckles and getting back to work and then going full loco batch*t insane by Wednesday LOL 🤣

Temperatures will be noticeably warmer across Colorado and the surrounding region today, and it'll also be windy depending on where you are. In fact, if you've recently purchased a trampoline, lawn chair, or lightweight decorative item, now might be a good time to remind it who's in charge.

I said the wind would stop in June. I didn't say the day or year LOL.

Anyhoodles, here's your expected temperatures for today:

🌬️ SE Wyoming & I-80 Corridor: 70-82°

☀️ Western Slope: 80-94°

🏔️ Colorado Mountain Valleys: 68-84°
(Higher elevations considerably cooler)

🌤️ Foothills, Front Range & I-25 Corridor: 75-86°

🌾 Eastern Plains / Western Nebraska / Western Kansas: 78-88°

As for thunderstorms, not everyone gets invited to the party today.

The best chances for showers and thunderstorms will be across the mountains south of I-70 and portions of southeast Colorado. Meanwhile, much of northern Colorado, southeast Wyoming, and areas farther north and east should remain largely dry.

The bigger story continues to be the heat building through the middle of the week.

📈 Warmer Tuesday

🥵 Wednesday looks downright hot, with widespread 90s likely and some eastern plains locations potentially getting well into triple digit territory.

After that, temperatures temperatures fall back into the 80s with another front for Thursday because the atmosphere believes in psychological warfare. 😆

Except for the Western Slope of course. You're consistently gross. No offense.

Then, by Friday, we're back in the 90s again which will linger into Saturday, and then most of us are back in the 80s again by next Sunday.

When it comes to shower and thunderstorm coverage beyond Monday:

Probably pretty isolated until we get towards the end of the week and into the weekend. Due to the heat, I can't rule out some isolated brief showers and popcorn storms bubbling up here and there. They will collapse as soon as they form. They won't be rain makers. They will be blowy microburst makers lol

Have a great Monday, friends. Keep checking in. I'll keep you updated like I always do!

My neighbors dog randomly walked across some sandpaper yesterday. He looked at me and said, "rough, rough"

Yeah bud. Totally makes sense. LOL LOL LOL I'll throw myself out.
