Tabor Opera House: Leadville

As you make your way beneath the stage, you enter the rooms where performers once prepared for their shows. Among these artists was the famed Oscar Wilde. This is his chair. There's a story that during one performance, Wilde, ever the showman, asked for a drink while on stage. They obliged, and as the drinks kept coming, he eventually tipped over, chair and all, right into the crowd. Nearby, you’ll find a bath that, according to legend, was once filled with milk for actresses to bathe in before their performances. It was believed to exfoliate and soften skin.
