Prisca and Jenna will be speaking at USGBC's Sustainability Series on Thursday October 17th @ 5:30pm at the AIA Design Center at 1000 St. Charles Avenue.

They will be speaking about the FutureProof Homestead, their research and development and public demonstration center for urban resilience which fosters adaptive retrofitting in the areas of: urban agriculture, constructed wetlands, native plant gardening, stormwater management, distributed energy production. and cost efficient and low-tech energy efficiency retrofits in Treme.

Co-Hosted by SCFFI Honorary Chairman, Anthony Hemingway (The Wire, ALI, Treme, Red Tails) and NOLA's Own 2-Cent TV

The international Social Change Film Festival & Institute (SCFFI) comes to New Orleans this year to present its 2012 series of official film selections and workshops surrounding its 2012 theme of "WATER: Challenges & Solutions" in conjunction with several New Orleans community organizations and visiting filmmakers and water systems solution activists from around the world as the 2nd Annual Social Change Film Festival & Institute.

Guests of the gala awards show on November 30th will have the opportunity to participate as part of the LIVE STUDIO AUDIENCE interactively with the 2-Cent TV performance and recording for cable/satellite TV!

Social change comedienne, Jennifer Rawlings will also make her New Orleans debut as a featured performance at the gala awards showcase.

Popular NOLA DJ RQaway ( , GO DJs, WTUL FM) will spin from 7pm to 10pm, and all are invited to stay to dance the night away to the music of local New Orleans bands, Los Poboycitos (Nuyorican Soul / Latin Funk / Boogaloo) and The Local Skank (all-female Ska band).

Live music begins at 10pm. Awards and edu-tainment takes place 7pm - 9pm.

Tickets are $40 VIP with hors d'oeuvres, $25 regular admission or $10 for youth ambassadors. Proceeds will benefit SCFFI 2012's key non-profit partners, including local New Orleans organizations such as 2-Cent TV and Kids ReThink New Orleans Schools.
