Today, ASPIRE staff and students had the opportunity to present at Region 11, sharing how we work to remove obstacles and create opportunities for students to pursue their passions through research, inquiry, and innovation.
We were proud to share the why and how behind our ASPIRE Symposium, highlighting the ways students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and research skills while exploring topics that matter to them.
A special thank you to our students for representing ASPIRE so well and demonstrating the power of student-driven learning. We are grateful for the opportunity to share our journey and connect with educators who are committed to empowering learners.

Our DECATS Producers wrote, directed, and performed their own version of The Wizard of Oz in Dallas during this morning’s final assembly. From creating the script to bringing the characters to life on stage, these talented students showcased incredible creativity, collaboration, and confidence.
We are so proud of all their hard work and the amazing performance they shared with our campers and staff. Bravo to our cast and crew for ending DECATS on a high note!

As we wrap up three incredible weeks of learning, creativity, and discovery, we want to give a huge shout-out to our amazing DECATS staff for their dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to our students. We are also deeply grateful to the DeBusk Foundation, whose generous support makes this experience possible year after year. DeBusk Foundation
Most importantly, thank you to the families who share their gifted learners with us each summer. It has been a joy and privilege to spend these three weeks exploring, creating, problem-solving, and growing together.

Our DECATS Broadway class brought the house down with their performance of Snow White Rap! Students worked hard to create their own props, practice their lines and choreography, and showcase their talents on stage. Their creativity, teamwork, and dedication were on full display as they delivered an entertaining performance for their audience. We are so proud of all their hard work and the confidence they showed during their performance!

At DECATS Advanced Academics Camp, our students have been thinking and creating like Olympians, home designers, and roller coaster engineers! We even had a visit from an Olympian!

Today, we were honored to welcome members of the DeBusk Board to DECATS! Their generous grant makes our amazing Advanced Academics Summer Camp possible, and we are so grateful for their continued support of gifted learners.
Board members had the opportunity to visit classrooms and see our students engaged in hands-on, creative learning experiences. From engineering and robotics to culinary arts, coding, and problem-solving challenges, our campers are thriving because of opportunities made possible through their generosity.
Thank you, DeBusk Board, for investing in our students and helping make DECATS an unforgettable experience each summer!

Creativity and innovation were on full display in DECATS today!
We have Rebus Puzzle Cookies and Rubiks Mosaics! Our producers put design skills to work by creating sets for a play, bringing their artistic visions to life. Meanwhile, our future engineers tackled the challenge of designing and building roller coaster models, testing their creativity and problem-solving skills.

Engineering in action at DECATS Summer Camp! Our young engineers explored the principles of bridge design, learning how structure, balance, and support work together to create strong bridges. After planning and testing their ideas, students designed and built bridges capable of holding 10 pounds!
We are so proud of their creativity, problem-solving, and perseverance as they put their engineering skills to the test.

Week 2 of DECATS was packed with creativity, collaboration, and exciting learning experiences! Our campers continued to explore new interests, build friendships, and challenge themselves in amazing ways.
