Fun Fact Friday - Did you know...

In 1878, Adolphus Eberhart joined Martin Beiger as a business partner with Mishawaka Woolen. Several of Eberhart’s sons later became Ball-Band executives. Beiger and the Eberharts all built prominent homes along East Second Street, today’s Lincolnway.

After Martin Beiger died in 1903, Mishawaka Woolen Manufacturing became a subsidiary of U.S. Rubber Company, but U.S. Rubber largely allowed the Mishawaka plant to operate independently and even compete with other U.S. Rubber subsidiaries.
