Building Hope Together: Community Center Partnership Makes an Impact | This past winter, First United Methodist Church partnered in an inspiring new collaborative effort among downtown churches and agencies: the creation of a Community and Service Center housed at Westminster Presbyterian Church. The center was created to provide compassionate support, resources, and pathways toward stability for neighbors experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.

The impact of this partnership exceeded every expectation. During its first season, the center:
served 1,193 unique clients
engaged 100% of regular clients with case management
helped 90% of regular clients complete housing assessments
277 total housing assessments were completed or verified
22 individuals were directly connected to housing through the center’s efforts.

I hadn’t ever paid attention to this passage before, but as we move into this new season, it is actually quite appropriate.
