Fields of tulips sprout from the ground of the Windmill Island Gardens every Spring. The colors elicited by the flowers bring some sort of Summer-time feel to the air, and the scent that emanates from them wafts past your nose to create a sense of euphoria.

Although it wasn’t my first time visiting, the weather was much nicer this year, and the colors seemed much brighter!

Boston, MA, October 2019.
My first visit to Boston was one out of pure spontaneity and curiosity. I’ve experienced “big” cities before; Detroit, Grand Rapids, Chicago, etc.

Nothing really compares to Boston however. While there, the internal social utility within me continually attempted to compare Boston to a place I’ve been before. To no avail, I decided I would just give up and start embracing the newness that was before me.

The cobblestone and brick streets painted maps in my mind. Strolling through grassy parks that had people everywhere when there was nice weather, and even when there wasn’t. Coffee shops on every street, and compassion for human life within each set of passing eyes.
