Chime In Quartet

It’s National Barbershop Quartet day!! I had to post something to showcase this day and say how happy I am to share my love of music with the best people ever! Looking forward to many chances to sing this year! Leah Williams, Judy Born Westers, Sonja Acosta Nikki Nelson Bocks we make a great team!!! Here’s a shot of us singing for our chorus at the last coaching retreat a couple weeks ago!

Last weekend our chorus and quartets were coached by the amazing Anne Downton!!! She’s a spectacular coach and fabulous human that really helped us fine tune a few things in our contest set. Only a few weeks to go! We can’t wait to make you proud, Anne!

Chime In had an amazing coaching session today with Sean Devine, world renowned singer, coach, director and all around fantastic human being! He pulled out some amazing chords from us today and helped put us in a great place for our upcoming regional contest!! Thank you for everything, Sean!!!

Chime In has been working hard on our new contest set to be ready for our first contest in Region 2 this year! We can’t wait to storm that stage with GRSA as well! Did a little home photo shoot at rehearsal this week. You know we always have to make it fun!!!

It’s been a busy holiday season already and we are just loving it! Last night we had the pleasure of bringing some of our version of holiday cheer to the amazing audience of Clark at Keller Lake retirement living apartments! We were joined by our dear sisters in harmony Hidden Gems quartet and we all had a marvelous time! Yes, we look a little different as our lead, Sonja, is attending some urgent family matters but our Courtney came back to fill in the spot! Team work makes the dream work! We kiddingly call this version “Chime In 3.1”!!! Hope you are all having a wonderful December!!! Happy Holidays from your friends at Chime In!

Chime In was so honored to be featured at the Grand Rapids Chorus of Sweet Adeline’s International after dinner show for America’s Boating Club recently! It was a private show and the audience was just fantastic! Can’t wait to perform again soon!!!!

What a privilege to work with the amazing Ann Jarchow this evening! She really helped us focus on our contest ballad and clean up some things we were struggling with. Thank you for your ear and your time! Chime In is grateful for your time and talent!! Sure hope we make you proud next spring!

Chime In is very much looking forward to having a coach at our rehearsal tomorrow evening!!! As the newest member, I’m a little nervous but we are working hard on our contest ballad and can use the expertise of Ann Jarchow to point us in the right direction!!! Also getting started on our Christmas repertoire because that is right around the corner! 🎶

Can you spot the difference? Chime In is excited to announce a change to our lineup. Courtney is stepping away to spend more time with her family and Nikki is joining us as our tenor! Let’s keep ringing those chords!
