All packed up and heading east! Excited to spend the weekend over on the east side of the state for the Michigan Emmy Awards tomorrow night in Detroit. 🤞

4:44 PM: Things are still coming together for a rather active night in Michigan this evening. The thunderstorms over Illinois and Iowa are the main event. There is some question as to how strong these will be when they arrive but we should all be paying attention to the weather this evening.

NEW: NOAA has declared that an El Niño has formed in the Pacific Ocean. El Niños typically impact our Winter weather more in Michigan.

A large number of power outages tonight. In total, there are nearly 95,000 Consumers Energy customers without power in the state.

This is not good news because there will likely be more severe weather on Thursday.
