I had the chance to attend an event today with my good friend Teri Stapleton in support of Jocelyn Benson, alongside Congresswoman Hillary Scholten announcing her endorsement. Hearing Jocelyn speak in person really reinforces why so many people believe in her. She’s calm, steady, and deeply committed to protecting our democracy. No theatrics, no drama - just clarity, integrity, and a real focus on doing the work. It’s the kind of leadership Michigan deserves, and it was inspiring to be in the room.

Today, I want to offer my thanks to every service member—past and present.

Not only to those who’ve fought for this country, but to those who continue to serve in ways seen and unseen. Your commitment is the reason we enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted. You carry the weight of our values with quiet strength, courage, and integrity.

I’m grateful for your service. I’m proud of what you stand for. And I honor you—not just today, but every day.

I had the great pleasure to be at the launch event for Kris Pachla's bid for State House 80 (PCT 3 and 5 from GRT). Kris embodies the essence of a public servant through his unwavering commitment to inclusive leadership, evidence-based decision-making, and community empowerment. His work bridges science, education, and civic engagement—always with integrity, empathy, and a focus on the greater good. I look forward to working with his campaign so we keep that seat in the State House!!
