Honoring Lady Shinika Blackwell: A Message of Deepest Gratitude🙏🏾🤍
Dear Family, Friends, Church Family, and Fellow Ministries,
From the depths of my heart, I want to thank each of you for the overwhelming outpouring of love, prayers, and support following the passing of my beloved wife, Lady Shinika Blackwell. During this time of profound grief, your presence has been a tangible reminder of God’s grace and comfort.
Lady B. was truly a virtuous woman of God, and her legacy of faith, grace, and love has left an indelible mark on all of us. As we mourn, we hold fast to the promises of God's Word:
📖 "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." — Psalm 34:18
📖 "Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 'Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.'" — Proverbs 31:28-29
I want to extend a special note of gratitude to our fellow churches, bishops, pastors, and ministries who reached out, attended the services, and covered us in prayer. Seeing the body of Christ unite across different congregations to support us has been a profound blessing and a beautiful reflection of God's kingdom.
To my own beloved church family, words cannot adequately express the depth of my gratitude for how you have enveloped us in love. Thank you for honoring your First Lady’s life so beautifully and for standing as pillars of strength when our hearts were heaviest. Your unwavering loyalty, your continuous prayers, and the seamless way you stepped in to serve and lead have been a profound comfort to me as your pastor. You have proven to be more than a congregation—you have truly been our family, holding us up when we needed it most. I am incredibly blessed to shepherd such a loving and compassionate people.
To our close friends and extended family, your comforting words, constant check-ins, and shared memories have given me the strength to face these difficult days.
I am also incredibly grateful to everyone who coordinated and provided meals, sent beautiful floral arrangements, and worked tirelessly behind the scenes to help with the services. Your practical acts of service allowed my family to focus entirely on celebrating her beautiful life.
We are blessed beyond measure to be surrounded by such a compassionate community. Please continue to keep us in your prayers as we walk through the weeks ahead.
With my deepest gratitude and blessings,
Bishop Marvin Blackwell & Family
