Hunger doesn’t just happen somewhere else — it happens here in Central Nebraska.
It’s the student who relies on a backpack of food to make it through the weekend.
It’s the neighbor who quietly attends a community meal because the cupboards are empty.
It’s the family hoping they can still gather around a Thanksgiving table.
For more than 30 years, Project Hunger has been meeting that need. What began in 1990 as a small group of concerned citizens is now a volunteer-powered effort serving Hall County — with no paid staff and every dollar going directly to fight hunger.
Each year, we:
Stock local food pantry shelves
Provide weekend food for students
Serve weekend community meals
Pack and distribute over 1,300 Thanksgiving food boxes
Because no one in our community should go hungry.
Your support keeps food on tables right here at home. Will you help us continue the fight?
