On International Women’s Day, we celebrate our refugee women, volunteers and community partners who make the good work of Undaunted Women possible.

We honor our refugee women who are bravely learning new languages, rebuilding community, adapting to new cultural norms, and nurturing their families. We love the wisdom, culture, strength and friendship these women bring to our communities. ❤

Undaunted Women stands with its refugee neighbors, especially the women and families who have fled violence, oppression, and Taliban trauma, in hopes of safety and dignity in America.

At Undaunted Women, we show our love for our refugee neighbors with friendship, diaper donations, driving scholarships and community events. We believe that families need both tangible and emotional support, and mastering new skills (like English & driving) is empowering. We welcome our immigrant & refugee neighbors and want them to thrive in our communities. 💙

Join us next Monday, December 15, from 5:30-7:30pm to learn about recent policy changes impacting the Afghan, Somali and other immigrant communities, including pauses and restrictions related to asylum, refugee status, Temporary Protective Status (TPS), green cards and naturalization.

We will hold space for community reflection and strategies to counter hate and increased enforcement against the Afghan and the Somali communities in Seattle. Our speakers will talk about ways to navigate these policy changes, share best practices, resources and more. Virtual and in-person attendance available, and interpretation will be provided in Somali, Dari and Pashto.
