💖 Project Pink Model Spotlight: Emily Dille
Emily’s Story:
I am a breast cancer PREVIVOR.
In 2016, I lost my incredible mom to triple negative breast cancer—a heartbreak that reshaped my life. Following a few of my own breast cancer scares, and determined to take control, I underwent a preventive mastectomy in 2021 to slash my risk of ever developing the disease. At my first post-op visit, the oncology surgeon revealed a stunning truth: routine pathology found several pre-cancerous lesions. Without this surgery, I would have faced a breast cancer diagnosis within a year. My choice didn’t just reduce my risk—it stopped cancer in its tracks.
A PREVIVOR is someone who takes action to reduce or eliminate the risk of a genetic cancer before it develops. I am on a mission to make this term mainstream and empower women with knowledge about this life-saving option. For me, the choice was clear, and I want others to know they have it too.

💖 Project Pink Model Spotlight: Roxann McIntyre
Roxann’s Story:
I was 31 years old when I was diagnosed with breast cancer—and at the same time, I was a new mother to a happy, healthy six-month-old baby girl. I actually received my diagnosis while interviewing for a nursing position at Cancer Treatment Centers of America, now City of Hope. Just two days after learning I had cancer, I was offered the job.
My treatment journey began with six months of chemotherapy, followed by surgery—a lumpectomy—and then about six weeks of radiation therapy. When I finally completed treatment, it marked the end of a long and life-changing chapter.
Being a new mom, starting a new job, and undergoing cancer treatment all at once taught me what true strength means. I didn’t have the option to stop—I had to keep going, not just for myself, but for my precious daughter.
Throughout treatment, my mantra was, “That which does not kill me will make me strong.” In my darkest moments, when I felt I couldn’t take another step, I would repeat those words until I found the strength to keep moving forward.
