The Department of Defense has just reduced the military's list of recognized religious labels down to 31. Of those, 21 are Christian denominations. The 29% of Americans who are atheist, agnostic, humanist, secular, freethinker, questioning, heathen, or unaffiliated have the ✨luxury✨ of choosing between "agnostic" and "no religious affiliation".

If you're wondering whether there was any logic to this decision...there wasn't.

The refusal to recognize religious diversity will make life harder for service members, and the lack of detailed information about service member demographics will make it much more difficult for military clergy to do their jobs. Basically, this harms everyone, and helps no one. Classic Hegseth.
