๐ฐ Colorado funding still available: $35 million on the table for large building efficiency projects.
The Colorado Energy Office launched a $35M Large Building Decarbonization Showcase to support projects that cut energy use and emissions in buildings 50,000 sq ft and larger.
โ
Funding can cover:
Up to 65% of project costs (capped at $2M)
Up to 50% of planning costs (up to $50K)
๐
Applications run Sept. 30 โ Nov. 3, 2025, and program materials just came out here ๐ https://hubs.la/Q03JHKMk0
At DMA Engineering, we see opportunities like this as the bridge between big ideas and built results for commercial, multifamily and public buildings. We can help you position your project to maximize funding, meet compliance under Building Performance Colorado, and deliver energy performance that lasts. For details, see the program flyer ๐https://hubs.la/Q03JHKTr0.
๐ Donโt leave this opportunity on the table. Reach out to discuss how we can help translate this funding opportunity into a cost-effective, energy-efficient solution for the lifetime value of your building.

๐ A Look in the Rearview Mirror โ at the Sun
At DMA Engineering, we design mechanical systems and solutions for commercial and residential buildings so they operate more efficiently, sustainably, and resiliently. But every once in a while, we zoom out from the technical details and take a broader look at the energy systems shaping our future.
A recent article in The New Yorker โ4.6 Billion Years On, the Sun Is Having a Momentโ reminds us just how far solar energy has come. Once a niche idea, solar is now a central player in global decarbonization. For those of us designing the built environment, this is more than a trend. Itโs a directional shift in how we think about power, systems, and opportunity.
This paragraph really captures our attention: โA one-acre solar farm produces as much energy as 100 acres of corn-based ethanolโฆ If 46% of current ethanol farmland were converted to solar, it could generate enough electricity to decarbonize the U.S. by 2050.โ

At DMA, weโre committed to integrating technologies and system designs that align with the sustainability trajectory. Because the future of buildings is the future of energy.
If you're planning a project and want to align with long-term energy and performance goals, we invite you to bring us in early to optimize the MEP design and deliver the solution.
