August Sparrow

Throwback Thursday from a post back in September of 2018.
I once again find myself following my heart and taking a leap. This decision is both a bit sad and also very joyous. It is a decision I put my whole heart into. It is the decision that I believe is the best for me and my family.
After much thought I have decided to close August Sparrow after 9 years in business. 2020 was hard, but it also brought clarity to what is most important.
We had a great year business wise, but personally I need a break.
Thank you doesn't seem like enough, but I truly am so incredibly thankful for all of you...my family, my friends, the shops and shop owners I have had the privilege to work with, my amazing customers and all of the other small business owners that I have met along the way...Without you I wouldn't have been able to follow this dream of mine.

The number one question I have always gotten is the meaning behind the name August Sparrow...
August is the month my oldest was born and Sparrow, for the symbolic meaning of it....creativity, community, simplicity, and empowerment.

After a social media break I am planning on coming back to this page as a place for those things listed above. Please stick around if you are interested.

As a small business owner this year has been unlike any other, but you all have shown up for me and other small businesses and I am completely blown away!
Thank you for placing orders, for liking and sharing posts, for telling your friends and family about your your favorite small businesses.
Thank you to all of the incredible shops and shop owners I get to work with! I am so lucky to have my products in the the most amazing stores around!
And of course thank you to my family and friends. I am so grateful for all of you! 💛💛💛
