First Masters Nationals in the books for Missy!
We've competed before, but there's nothing quite like being on the big stage in front of the crowd that makes it feel different.
Going into this meet there was some nerves. New stage, bigger platform, and representing months of remote training—it all hit a little different.
This prep wasn’t perfect, but it got done. Showing up even when motivation wasn’t there, dealing with the weather out in the she-shed through the winter months, not having a training partner to push you. It was all new territory.
But we stepped onto the platform with our gameplan and executed our lifts.
This is just the beginning.
Back to work.
Stacy competed at masters nationals last week! While we were just going to have fun, we ended up bringing home some hardware!
An elbow injury sidelined training for a bit during a very crucial run up to the meet, but we called an audible to adjust our training and were still able to show up.
Stacy trusted the process even when it didn’t feel like it was working. Not perfect. Not pain-free every day. But stronger, smarter, and more resilient than ever.
This prep wasn’t about chasing PRs—it was about proving that setbacks don’t define the outcome. Consistency does. Patience does. Showing up when it’s hard does.
