FM3 Design

People We Remember:
Sid Davis. Sid was a great creator and welder also a repair mechanic. Sid designed the concrete septic tank forms and set truck. Sid built them originally for Ken Cook Construction. Sid and my dad were good friends and my dad wanted a set of forms and set truck since we were in underground construction. Sid said I could build them myself as he considered me a reasonable welder. So Sid ordered up the materials and had me build the forms and set truck when I was 16 years old. Sid never struck a arc or picked up a tool just coached me to get it done. Summer in Redding CA was darn hot and a lot of sweating happened. So in all Sid did me the greatest gift by not helping and being a great coach. Later I worked as a welder for him on other builds. He encoiurged me to get certified, so I went to work as a mill wright at the froward brothers mill in Red Bluff CA and became certified in stick and gas on high pressure steam. Thanks again Sid you are a great person and coach and will always be with me.
