Jesus never promised that following Him would always be comfortable.
He did promise it would always be meaningful.
His invitation is still the same today:
"Go."
Go into your neighborhood.
Go into your workplace.
Go into your school.
Go into your community.
The question isn't whether God has called us.
The question is whether we're willing to take the next step.

Camelback's Sunday Re-cap Devotional
One of the most searching questions Jesus ever asked is surprisingly simple:
"Why do you call Me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?" (Luke 6:46)
Jesus wasn't questioning whether people believed in Him. He was asking whether they trusted Him enough to obey Him.
It's easy to call Jesus Lord when life is going well or when His instructions fit comfortably into our plans. But following Jesus often means loving people we'd rather avoid, forgiving when we'd rather hold a grudge, serving when we'd rather be served, and stepping out in faith when we'd rather stay comfortable.
Jesus summarized God's heart in two commands: love God with everything you are, and love your neighbor as yourself. Those commands were never meant to be separated. Our love for God becomes visible in the way we treat people.
Then Jesus gave His followers one final assignment: "Go and make disciples." Notice He didn't tell them simply to gather. He told them to go. The church has never been just a place we attend; it's a people God sends into the world with His love and His message of hope.
Obedience isn't about earning God's love—we already have that through Christ. Obedience is our loving response to the One who gave everything for us.
This week, instead of simply asking, "What should I believe?" ask, "Lord, what are You asking me to do today?" Then take that next step. Sometimes the greatest act of faith is simply saying, "Yes, Lord," and following where He leads.
