With hot temperatures, it's important to know the signs of heat-related illness.🥵

👉 Heat exhaustion: dizziness, thirst, heavy sweating, nausea, and weakness. Act fast by moving to a cooler area and sipping cool water.

👉 Heat stroke: confusion, dizziness, and possible unconscious. Call 9-1-1 immediately!

Congratulations to North Shore Fire/Rescue's five newest Firefighters/EMTs who graduated from the Joint Fire Training Academy (JFTA) today. This JFTA class graduated nineteen newly hired firefighters today that will serve seven Milwaukee County Fire Departments. JFTA is a six week academy that challenges newly hired Firefighter/EMTs both physically and mentally so they are prepared for real world emergency responses. JFTA is operated as a joint effort of nine Milwaukee County Fire Departments with the cooperative model being replicated by Departments around the State.
