When I saw this from co founder Ed Mylett. I definitely had to share to say, I was a spender, not a saver. I wasn’t extreme I was deprived in my younger days. My parents divorce my mom had to go out and get a job. My mom was a saver BIG TIME! Life was tough back then.

There are TWO types of people in the world: SPENDERS and SAVERS.⁣

It’s IMPORTANT TO ESTABLISH NOW that you are a SAVER. This means you always find a way to SAVE SOMETHING, whatever your financial situation may be. Build the habit of PAYING YOURSELF FIRST before you spend. Period.⁣

This may seem counterintuitive to you, but I have known people who were spenders when they were making a little bit of money. And you know what? They are STILL spenders now that they earn much more money! They just spend, spend, and spend and NEVER generate wealth.⁣

You have to FIND A WAY to pay yourself first in any way you can. I don’t care if you pay yourself $10 a month, (if that’s all you can afford now ) as long as you SAVE MONEY. I want you to build the HABITS of wealthy people RIGHT NOW! ⁣

When I was a young man and just making $800 a month, I still managed to save $20 per month This may seem like a small amount, but this established my HABIT of paying MYSELF first before spending on cars, dinners, shoes, clothes.⁣

Remember... YOU CANNOT BECOME WEALTHY IF YOU DON’T SAVE MONEY!⁣

I know you think once you make more, then you will start saving. It’s just doesn’t happen. You will go from a Honda to BMW from Denny’s to a great Steakhouse. From buying clothes on sale to paying for custom clothes Etc ⁣

Habits and rituals carry over from when you have a little to when you have a lot.⁣

I’m not saying that after you save and pay yourself first ...that you can’t then go spend your excess money on yourself, and on things, you would really like to have. Of course, you can.⁣

Everything in moderation. After you pay yourself, do whatever you want with the extra left over!⁣

REMEMBER THIS ⁣

I have way more friends WHO USED TO BE RICH than I have who are CURRENTLY RICH ⁣

You wanna know why? They never started saving when they made a little bit of money and once they started to make a lot of money… They just thought that income was going to last forever and they would always make a lot of money… ⁣

But that’s not how life works!⁣

Like I said, there are two types: SPENDER and SAVERS Which one do you want to be? Do you want to be a SPENDER? Or do you want to be a SAVER?
