Celebrating Captain Collis Park for an incredible 30 years of service with the Texas State Park Police. Collis has been a steady, trusted presence across the state, including right here at Dinosaur Valley State Park. And when the Glen Rose community faced chaos or crisis, Collis was always there — calm, capable, and ready to help.

He backed up local law enforcement countless times, supported first responders, and even jumped behind the wheel of a firetruck when big fires called for every available hand. His dedication didn’t just serve the parks — it served the people.

The Park family has deep roots in this community, and Collis carried that legacy with pride. Congratulations on your retirement, Collis. Thank you for your service, your heart, and your commitment to Glen Rose and the State of Texas. Enjoy this next chapter — you’ve earned it.
