Let's talk color- specifically blue! 🔵

Below are 2 different color transformations.
Pay attention to the 1st one. Her starting color was already pre lightened (bleached) to a blonde color. That's what stylists often call a "blank canvas". Its a clear canvas that allows you to add and create whatever you want. Notice how after the transformation, the blue was pure and vibrant! Her hair took pretty true to the way the color looked in the bowl before applying it.

Now, let's pay attention to the 2nd transformation. You can see the starting canvas is a medium brown color. When adding the EXACT SAME blue color to this canvas, it did not come out the same way the 1st one did.

That is why your starting canvas is important. And this is why your stylist may ask what seems like a ton of questions. Or you may spend way more time and money trying to achieve your particular color goals. Neither way is wrong, they are both beautiful. It just depends on the goal and what you are starting with and what your budget looks like.

Often times when we have to transform your brown canvas to a blank canvas first and then proceed with the coloring process, you will see a price difference of nearly double or more. Its because your stylist is essentially doing 2 complete color transformations all in the same appointment block. Which means double the time, double the product, double the cost.

We try so hard to match your needs and wants to your inspiration pictures but often times inspiration pictures are AI and/or are multiple step transformations that may not be realistic or suitable for your time or budget. We love each and every one of our clients and love being creative but we have to be realistic of what goals are achievable.

Take a look at the pictures one more time. SAME blue, different canvas, different result, both still beautiful!
