9/11 Day of Service - Part II
Donations Needed !!!

GPC is responsible for the collection of:
- Laundry detergent, liquid, pods or dry
- Fabric softener, liquid or dryer sheets
- Stain remover, spray liquid, gel, stick
- $2 Donations for mesh net laundry bags

We are asking if you are able, to donate the 16 - 24 ounce sizes of laundry products for the mesh net laundry bags. These items will be collected and donated to the AZCEND Program in Gilbert.

Donations of $2.00 per laundry bag would be helpful plus the laundry supplies. We need laundry products for 100-150 bags.

Donations of 3 flats of bottle water and 600 paper plates for the breakfast are also needed. Everything else is provided by other churches.

Volunteers are needed on Saturday, September 13th from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm in the GPC Palmer Center to help sort the donated clothes, undergarments and put together the laundry bags.

Also needed:
helpers to coordinate projects, and greeters at the door to welcome volunteers from the community into GPC.

After the day is completed, we need:
drivers to take the laundry products to AZCEND Program in Gilbert, and take the clothing to Helen's Hope Chest in Mesa.

There is a free pancake breakfast at 7:30 am on 9/13 with the opening ceremony at Evident Life Church - 1415 N. Gilbert Road. The Mayor of Gilbert will be attending the opening ceremony along with the Pastor from Event Life. The Boy Scouts will be performing a flag ceremony and Old American flags will be collected and taken the Veterans of Foreign Wars for honorable disposal in Gilbert.

Sign up sheets for other volunteer projects will be at tables during breakfast at Evident Life Community Church. This is a community project with other churches and schools in Gilbert and volunteers will choose their projects and disperse to various locations around Gilbert.

This is an exciting project and we look forward to seeing you on 9/13 in the GPC Palmer Center!
