Tonight’s storm caused plenty of damage throughout lower Michigan. Your Gibraltar Firefighters responded to a number of storm-related incidents; some of those emergency calls were received within minutes of each other.

Just like you, we don’t have a good estimate of when power will be restored, but DTE will be working throughout the night to restore power.

Thank you to the kind residents who offered water and encouragement this evening, and the support of our PD and DPW to ensure public safety and quick cleanup of downed trees!

Here are some safety reminders after a weather incident like this one:

*Stay away from any down wires
*Properly ventilate your generators
*Obey the traffic signals that are malfunctioning
