Gettysburg, we hope you had a fantastic celebration of America’s 250th Birthday!
As many travel home today and the weekend continues:
Safety Tips:
• Holiday Traffic: Expect continued heavy volume on roads. Drive patiently and watch for tired or impaired drivers.
• DUI Warning: Extra enforcement continues through the weekend. Buzzed driving is drunk driving — plan a sober ride.
• Fireworks Safety: Properly dispose of any remaining fireworks and never relight “duds.”
• Fireworks Noise: Reports of fireworks sounding like gunshots may continue. Only call police for suspected real emergencies.
