We are temporarily changing our hours. We are opening at 8am and closing at 5pm Monday through Friday. Saturday we will still be open from 8am to 12pm. We are trying to maintain a 40 hour work week for our employee, overtime is out of the question at this time. Remember to support your local businesses, especially when this shutdown is over. We thank everyone who has supported us. Please feel free to share.

Update on our store hours during the Cronavirus (COVID-19). We fall under the " Building Material and Supplies Dealer". We will be open as Authorized by the Governor.
We are however making some changes:

(1)We will be restricting the amount of people in the store. Please call before stopping in..we might be locking our showroom door as this pandemic progresses. If that happens we will be doing our best for more of a curbside service. We will be wiping our Paint cans down before you receive them with a disinfectant.
(2) We have been and continue to wipe the surfaces with disinfectant throughout our store
(3) Our delivery will continue to our commercial customers and after the Paint has been dropped off we will wipe down product with disinfectant. We also encourage you to wipe down before you handle products as well.
(4) This is a serious situation for all of us. We would like our staff and families to stay healthy. Our customers need to be healthy because we will especially need your business after this virus has run its course.

If you have any questions please call (717) 334-8161

Be safe and thank you for support.

I am going to try something completely out of my comfort zone. Over the next several weeks I will post some tips when approaching a painting project.

1st tip. If at all possible, hire a local painter. Good painters are normally very busy. So plan ahead and be as flexible as possible. Example: If you would like interior painting done, talk to a painter Sept time frame. Giving him the option to wait till winter when he knows that he will be slower. If the weather is inclement before the winter the contractor might see if he could paint sooner. Hopefully by working with the contractor they will price the job accordingly. Get several quotes and remember cheaper is not always better. Ask questions: like what paint will you use. Am I responsible for moving furniture to the middle of the room or will they (it will cost you more if they do it). Will they patch nail holes and cracks in wall. What type of clean up are they responsible for. If they are using a sink in your house to clean, let them know which sink they should use. Ask if a painting crew is coming to the house or is the person you are talking to is going to be painting. Remember, your house is your castle, some crews might have questionable employees working for them. Be careful, larger crews are good for Commercial or new home construction. Get pricing and expectations in writing. Put in writing when the Job must be done by. Of course if the painter has painted for you before and you are happy with their work you are lucky, keep using them.

Please note the information above is my thoughts in hiring a contractor. I hope this helps.
