BROADBAND UPDATE.

Great news from Brightspeed (formerly CenturyLink). Looks like they will be upgrading lines for 17,763 locations in Adams County. Pretty soon the State will announce BEAD applications and the race will be on to see who covers Adams County the best.

The FCC Now Says Broadband Speed Should Be at Least 100 Mbps 03/18/2024

Check out this update from the FCC. The new definition for minimum broadband speeds has increased to 20 Mbps upload and 100 Mbps download. The previous acceptable levels were 3 Mbps upload and 25 download. Let's hope that the providers, public sector, and federal funding result in more of us actually having these new speeds!
