WCRAS Longtime Lovables

Today makes two years since Bae was surrendered to the shelter. He is currently enjoying a foster break with one of his volunteer handlers, but he needs to find a home of his own! Here is what his foster has to say:

“Bae is a very special dog who is looking for a very special home! He has been the most wonderful companion for me the past two weeks. He is very housebroken, he is not destructive when he’s left alone, and he’s fairly low energy. He spends most of the time on the bed or the couch snuggling, sleeping, or chewing on his toys. He is very social and affectionate with people he trusts! However, Bae does have a lot of fear and anxiety with new things/situations/people. It will likely take quite some time for him to be comfortable in a new place, and he needs an adopter who will go at his pace. Once he settles in, he will be the most loyal and loving dog you could ever ask for!”

Bae is 7 1/2 years old and weighs 45 pounds. He would likely do best in a low-traffic, adult-only home. He has had positive interactions with dogs at the shelter, but we always recommend doing a meet and greet with resident dogs to make sure it’s a good fit.
