Celebrating the Fathers of The Wesleyan!
Happy Fathers' Day!

This Father's Day, we took time to honor the incredible fathers in our community. At Assisted Living and Memory Care, residents shared cherished memories, life lessons, and the best advice they've gathered through the years—stories filled with love, wisdom, and pride in their families.

Our Independent Living dads enjoyed a special gathering of their own, spending the afternoon sharing stories, laughter, and the experiences that have shaped their lives.

From treasured memories of their own fathers to reflections on raising children and grandchildren, the day was a wonderful reminder of the important role fathers play in our families and communities.

Thank you to all the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who have helped guide generations with strength, kindness, and love.

As CNA Appreciation comes to a close, our hearts are full of gratitude.

For more than 60 years, The Wesleyan has been blessed by compassionate caregivers who do so much more than provide care they provide comfort, friendship, encouragement, and love.

This week we celebrated with silly socks, crazy hats, pizza, popsicles, and a few surprises, but no celebration could truly capture how much we appreciate the incredible difference these team members make every single day.

To our CNAs, thank you for treating our residents like family, for serving with kindness and patience, and for helping create the warm, welcoming community that has been the heart of The Wesleyan for over six decades.

Your dedication, compassion, and commitment are part of the legacy that continues to make The Wesleyan feel like home.

Please join us in thanking these extraordinary caregivers for all they do! ❤️

What a Gouda Time!

Recently our residents enjoyed a delicious afternoon at our National Cheese Day Cheese Tasting Event in the East Dining Room! Guests sampled a variety of cheeses, discovered new favorites, and learned about fun cheese dishes and pairing ideas.

The Cheese Board Extravaganza offered something for everyone, and those who brought a favorite bottle of wine enjoyed perfect pairings throughout the event.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the celebration so memorable. We loved sharing great flavors, good conversation, and plenty of cheese!

Last Saturday, a group of Wesleyan residents traveled to Taylor to witness a truly special moment the unveiling of a bronze statue of Governor Dan Moody, created by former Wesleyan resident and special friend to our community, Joe Kenney.

Seeing Joe's remarkable talent honored in such a public and lasting way was a source of pride for everyone in attendance. His artistry not only captured an important piece of Texas history but also serves as a reminder of the incredible gifts, talents, and contributions of the residents we are privileged to know.

The outing was more than an opportunity to celebrate a beautiful sculpture it was a chance to recognize the individuals who have helped build, shape, and strengthen the communities we enjoy today. Their stories, accomplishments, and legacies continue to inspire us.

The Wesleyan is also a grateful recipient of Joe's extraordinary talent. His bronze sculpture of the Good Shepherd, generously donated to our community, stands permanently in our Prayer Garden as a cherished symbol of faith, hope, and compassion. Through this beautiful gift, Joe's legacy will remain a part of The Wesleyan for generations to come.

At The Wesleyan, we are honored to serve a generation of residents whose talents and contributions have left a lasting impact. It was a meaningful day filled with pride, connection, and appreciation for the people who have helped pave the way for future generations.

Congratulations to Joe Kenney on this incredible achievement and lasting tribute to history. We are proud to celebrate not only his artistic accomplishments but also the enduring legacy he has shared with our community.
