What a great trip to Longhorn Cavern State Park, an hour from our home. It was a 90 minute tour and well worth the time with a great guide. So much history in this cave, known to be used by Native Americans who harvested the chert, which is a hard sedimentary rock that they used to make tools. In the 1920’s it was used as a nightclub. Saw cute little bats, yes, tricolored bats! 🦇 The Queens Watchdog, a natural formation. And word of the day “pareidolia” seeing animals or objects in the rock formations. 👻 Tons of crystals, felt like I was walking through a geode, I guess I was. 💎
